The recently formed group of volunteers who attend urgent calls for heart attacks, breathing problems and collapses,in the Otley area, when called by the Ambulance service, is supported by donations. We also need team members who should be over 18 years of age and have own transport. Rotas are arranged to accomodate the team members. Since March, when the service was started, we have attended over 80 calls for people in the area who have been in need of medical assistance. Our patients have ranged from 18 to 90 years of age. No previous medical or nursing experience is required, all training is provided.
