Otley Road Safety Committee has been established over 50 years and meets on the fourth Wednesday bi-monthly at the Aged Peoples Welfare Centre ,Crossgate Otley. Many years ago it widened its field to become Otley and District Road Safety Committee and now includes members from Pool, Guiseley and Rawdon. The role of the committee is Education, Publicity and Training. To this end we are supported by Mr. Graham Riley and his staff at Leeds Voluntary Road Safety Unit. The Committee have for the last three years held a Primary Schools Safety Quiz to which schools from Otley, Pool and Guiseley are invited to participate. The Road Safety Committee is always willing to listen to any local highway concerns. New members are always welcome. Currently the committee has representatives from Otley Town Council, Pool Parish Council, Traffic Wardens, Otley Cycle Club, Arts for Otley and local residents interested in furthering the cause of Road Safety.
